• Refund and Returns Policy for WeAuto

At WeAuto, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines our terms for cancellations, modifications, and refunds related to your car rental bookings. By making a reservation with WeAuto, you agree to the terms set forth below.

1. Cancellation Policy

To cancel a booking, please contact us as soon as possible via contact@weauto.ma
or by calling +212663765838 . The refund amount will depend on when you cancel relative to your scheduled pickup time.

  • Cancellations made [e.g., 72 hours / 3 days] or more before the scheduled pickup time:

    • You will receive a full refund of your prepaid rental amount, minus a small administrative fee of [e.g., 50 MAD / €5 / $5] to cover processing costs.

  • Cancellations made between [e.g., 24 hours] and [e.g., 72 hours / 3 days] before the scheduled pickup time:

    • You will receive a partial refund of [e.g., 50% / a fixed amount like 200 MAD / €20 / $20] of your prepaid rental amount. This covers potential loss of business and administrative costs.

  • Cancellations made less than [e.g., 24 hours] before the scheduled pickup time, or “No-Shows”:

    • No refund will be issued. This includes situations where the customer fails to pick up the vehicle at the agreed time and location, or fails to present the necessary documentation (valid driver’s license, ID, credit card in the driver’s name, etc.) at pickup. The full rental amount will be charged.

2. Modifications to Bookings

We understand that you may need to modify your booking (e.g., change dates, vehicle type, or pickup/drop-off location).

  • Modifications requested [e.g., 48 hours / 2 days] or more before the scheduled pickup time:

    • Modifications are generally permitted, subject to vehicle availability and potential price adjustments based on the new rental details (e.g., different dates, higher vehicle category). Any increase in price will be charged, and any decrease will result in a refund for the difference (subject to our cancellation fee policy if the change is significant, like a reduction in rental days).

  • Modifications requested less than [e.g., 48 hours / 2 days] before the scheduled pickup time:

    • Modifications are subject to availability and may incur a modification fee of [e.g., 100 MAD / €10 / $10], in addition to any price differences. Significant changes may be treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking, subject to the cancellation policy above.

3. Early Returns

If you return the vehicle earlier than the agreed-upon drop-off date and time:

  • No refund will be issued for unused rental days. The rental rate is calculated based on the confirmed booking duration, and early returns do not entitle the renter to a refund for the remaining period. This is standard practice in the car rental industry.

4. Late Returns

If you return the vehicle later than the agreed-upon drop-off date and time:

  • A grace period of [e.g., 59 minutes] is typically allowed.

  • Returns exceeding the grace period will be subject to additional charges, often equivalent to an extra day’s rental at the prevailing daily rate, plus any applicable late return fees.

  • Please contact us immediately if you anticipate a late return to discuss potential options.

5. Vehicle Condition and Cleaning

  • The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was provided, fair wear and tear excepted.

  • Any damages not noted at pickup and occurring during your rental period will be assessed, and repair costs (up to the insurance excess/deductible amount) will be charged to the renter.

  • Vehicles returned excessively dirty (e.g., animal hair, heavy sand/mud, stained upholstery) may incur an additional cleaning fee, as per our standard rates displayed at pickup or in your rental agreement.

6. Fuel Policy

  • The vehicle will be provided with a [e.g., full / specific] tank of fuel. You must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel.

  • If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than provided, you will be charged for the missing fuel at our prevailing rate per liter, plus a refueling service charge.

7. Refund Processing

  • Refunds, when applicable, will be processed to the original payment method used for the booking within [e.g., 7-14 business days] from the date the cancellation is confirmed or the return conditions are verified. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your bank statement, depending on your bank’s policies.

  • Cash refunds are generally not provided for online payments.

8. Security Deposit

  • A security deposit will be authorized on your credit card at the time of pickup. This deposit is held to cover potential damages, additional charges (e.g., fuel, late return fees), or fines incurred during the rental period.

  • The security deposit will be released upon the satisfactory return of the vehicle, typically within [e.g., 3-5 business days] after drop-off. The exact time for the release to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank.

  • We reserve the right to deduct from the security deposit any amounts due to WeAuto for damages, additional charges, or violations of the rental agreement.

9. Force Majeure

WeAuto will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this policy if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, epidemics, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will work with you to find a mutually agreeable solution, which may include rebooking or partial refunds, at our discretion.
